Starting 1st January 2023, SOCSO launched a program called “Daya Kerjaya”.
With the help of this program, SOCSO is attempting to reduce the unemployment
rate by giving financial incentives to employers who fulfil the criteria of hiring a
select group of individuals. For every individual hired, a maximum of RM1,800 will
be given.

Registration for the Daya Kerjaya programme starts on the 1st of May 2023 and
ends on the 31st of December 2023. Eligible individuals for this programme can be
categorised into three groups – vulnerable, TVET graduates (Technical and
Vocational Education and Training) and School Leavers. Employers can employ
individuals from either of these groups should they have been unemployed for a
minimum of 2 months. In order to collect the financial incentive from SOCSO,
employers are required to offer them a permanent or contractual job with the
minimum monthly salary of RM1,500. For more details, kindly refer to the link at the
